Mooncast for April 16th to 22nd
“Yesterday I was clever, so I wanted to change the world. Today I am wise, so I am changing myself.”― Rumi
Take a moment to think about the younger versions of yourself. All of them. How did they present to the world around them? If you have young children in your life, listen to the ways they speak about the world. I bet they talk about the world with admiration and hope.
As I speak to the Littles in my life, I’ve noticed they don’t have a jaded or fantasized version of the world. They see the world for what it is, but wish for a world where we get along, despite our differences. Love is their language, and it isn’t persuaded by the experiences time grants us. They believe that they will bring about the change so the world can heal. I think they will too. Why? Because they believe in their own hearts, and they believe in the hearts of others.
This week under the first quarter moon, examine your life through the eyes of your younger self. What does this version of yourself hold in their heart? Do they believe in peace, love, and harmony? If so, is it because of an external source feeding this love, or is it simply because the world had not jaded you yet?
Re-living old stories can keep us in a loop of self-doubt. Giving our power away to the story and understanding its lesson can keep our inner child and heart in a cage. Grant yourself freedom this week by nurturing your inner child and heart. Create a nurturing environment for change in your life. If you have trouble beginning, ask yourself: what would I need to believe in me? You might be surprised by the answer.
Witch Tip: Play! Open your heart space by playing. What was your favorite activity as a child? Get the family together and rekindle the flames in your heart and connect to your inner child by playing your favorite game.
