This Week’s Topic – Integrity: It’s a Beautiful Thing
A big YES to this week’s topic! It’s part of the foundation for all that you do. It’s the ink in the pen that draws the plans.
We’ve all got it, and we all deserve it in return, but what does it really mean? Here’s a definition:
Integrity is a “concept of consistency of actions, values, methods, measures, principles, expectations, and outcomes. In ethics, integrity is regarded as the honesty and truthfulness or accuracy of one’s actions.”
Of course, there are many directions and perspectives we can take on this topic, but let’s keep it simple.
This week, share with us an experience where you have received the benefit of another person’s integrity. Tell us about how good it felt to receive integrity, and give us the map of how you got there.
It could be your butcher, your baker, your candlestick maker. It could be your best friend, your mother or your barista. Integrity is a glue for great relationships of all kinds.
As always in our community, the reflections of the greatness we see in each other create a tangible and practical path we can follow within ourselves and our own lives.
The same is true for the community of influence that surrounds us as a whole. In a way, angling our attention towards the people in our lives who reflect our own conscious integrity, creates the opportunity for us to be engaging with those kinds of positive experiences more consistently.
What we notice, acknowledge, and celebrate grows—for ourselves and for others. We will certainly be more attuned to creating positive interactions with our own integrity; it’s just natural.
Integrity is as integrity does, and it feels amazing.
